Fire Ring Farm

Portland, Connecticut

Established in 2009, Fire Ring Farm is a CSA farm located in Portland, Connecticut. It sits on two and a half acres of land that used to be part of the farm land for the historic Taylor Estate, home to the St. Clemens Castle, which overlooks the Connecticut River. We are dedicated to growing tasty and nutritious produce using organic and sustainable methods of farming. We do not use synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. We practice farming methods that do not deplete our natural resources of land and water. We rotate our crops, plant cover crops, apply organic compost, introduce beneficial insects, use mechanical and hand cultivation for weed control, utilize proper irrigation methods, consistently care for our soil, and grow seasonally!
