Smith Farm/AVP

East Haddam, Connecticut

Smith Farm/A.V.P. Inc., CSA

Smith Farm raises vegetable, herbs, flowers and a few varieties of fruits using organic practices. They are located in East Haddam, Connecticut. The farm is operated by Adult Vocational Program Inc., a non-profit agency committed to providing the highest quality day service to people with developmental disabilities and other challenges. Our participants take great pride in helping in all aspects of our farm from growing the plants in our greenhouse and planting them and maintaining them in our garden as well as picking and packing produce. The program runs from April through October. They provide produce in the local community through their CSA and by participating in an on-line farmers market, CTFFE (Conneticut Farm Fresh Express).
